The Most Merciful,
He taught the Qur’an,
He created the human being,
He taught him speech and expression.
The sun and the moon move by a precise calculation,
And the stars and the trees all prostrate (to Him).
And the heaven He raised high and set up the balance (of justice),
That you do not transgress in the balance.
And establish weight in justice and do not make the balance deficient.
And the earth He laid out for all creatures,
In it are fruits, and date-palms with sheathed clusters,
And grain with husk and fragrant plants.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
He created man from dry clay, like pottery,
And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
[He is] Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
He released the two seas, meeting side by side,
Between them is a barrier so neither of them transgresses.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
From both of them come forth pearls and coral.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
And His are the ships, raised high on the sea like mountains.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
Everyone upon it (the earth) will perish,
And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honour.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
Whoever is in the heavens and earth asks of Him; every day He is in a matter (of His concern).
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
We will attend to you, O two heavy ones (humankind and jinn).
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
O company of jinn and humans! If you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass; you will not pass except with authority.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
A flame of fire and smoke will be sent upon you, and you will not be able to defend yourselves.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
Then when the sky splits and becomes rosy like [red] oil,
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
Then on that Day no human will be asked about his sin, nor any jinn.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
The criminals will be recognized by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
This is Hell which the criminals used to deny.
They will go back and forth between it and scalding hot water.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
But for he who feared standing before his Lord, there will be two gardens,
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
Both of them with many lush branches.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
In both of them are two flowing springs.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
In both of them is every kind of fruit, in pairs.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
They will be reclining on couches whose linings are of thick brocade, and the fruits of the two gardens will be hanging low.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
In them will be women of restrained glances, whom neither man nor jinn has touched before.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
As if they were rubies and coral.
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
Is there any reward for good other than good?
So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
And below them (in rank) will be two other gardens,

In them will be good and beautiful women,
